It's rained 1 or 2 days last week & it's dark, gloomy, & raining again now. I could run some errands, but it's nothing that can't wait a few days.

I think I'll have a nice n' cozy day at home & I'll just go out when it's better outside. I have plenty to do at home! OR I might go out if the weather's better today.

It's been warm and sunny here. Supposed to get into the high 80's by the end of the week. My favorite weather...however, I'm clumping around in a cast...broke my foot this weekend. Oh well. it's still too cool to swim!

The 30cm of snow we got last Tuesday/Wednesday is rapidly melting--recess in the slush was a messy one!

WE are expected to get bad weather with flood warnings. We are waiting to see if we will have school tomorrow. Some neighboring districts have closed already.

We are in the middle of our book fair, so it has been busy, busy, busy for me at school. Today I'm struggling because I didn't sleep well last night, so I just feel tired and sluggish. Right now I'm hiding at my desk munching on some carrots and dip, hoping to get enough energy to make it through the next couple of hours.

As I started class this afternoon, I had some blueberry tea in a clear glass cup. One of my students asked what I was drinking and I told him. He replied, deadpan, "Oh, I thought it was wine.":spitwater::toofunny:If only....

I was quick to pass his comment on to admin--who laughed as hard as I did!

One more day until our break! Thank goodness!

I am sorry to hear this swansong1. I hope the foot heals soon.

We are on spring break this week. Woo Hoo! I plan on doing some gardening, some reading, some scrapbooking, and maybe a bit of cleaning. This is the last break until we get out for summer so I am making the most of it.

So I got another SLP job again & will probably start around Aug 20th. I haven't worked in the schools in the last 2 yrs. I kind of wanted to take another yr off, but since I got it, I'll take it! It will last at least this 2016-17 school yr.

I watched the Ghostbusters remake. It was horrible. It wasn't really funny, the characters seemed very bored, and the plot just kind of pushed along with no real development. One minute they're nobodies, then they're all suited up and the "song" plays and then they save the city and are big names. :roll:I'll have to re-watch the original (it's been a LONG time, but it can't be as bad as the remake.) I only chuckled a few times at some of the comments made in passing by the characters (mostly Hemsworth's). And of course there will be the sequel. I'm glad I only paid $7.:D

Thank you so much for the congrats & for remembering my mom & I ! I've been good & staying busy. My mom started getting into her groove of feeling better & staying even more active about 2-3 mos ago. She always walked 5-6 mornings a week & now she's added going to a Tai Chi class, Scrabble class at her community center, & working out at the gym more.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I had taken a couple yrs off because back then, I wanted to focus on my studies since I was towards the end of my grad program. I've graduated since the end of last year. Ah, it was fabulous having those 2 yrs & 3.5 mos off!

haha! can you bring anyone? At very least, leave address with someone so they can retrieve your body. I just yesterday bought my outdoor chaise off an internet stranger. I've also had people agree to meet me in public parking areas, but only for smaller items. let us know when you come back safe and sound.

I watched the original Ghostbusters movie about 20 years ago and really enjoyed it back then. It might have been considered good for that time period but silly for today's standards. From what you have said about the Ghostbusters remake, I think that it's still probably worse than the original.

So back at work. I don't know why we come back so much earlier, but contracts states 202 so that's what we do. Need to get some organization done before trainings start up.

Random thought today: some of my colleagues started school today and I'm seeing the pictures on the FB feed and think, "Wow it's awesome seeing veteran teachers in action. Seeing pictures of them in their classrooms is inspiring. The way they know exactly how they want things done and seamlessly transition through their lessons is amazing! I just hope to be at that point one day."

    :)
