I'm not a politically correct person...... and therefore I wonder why the media calls Suicide Murderers.... Suicide Bombers...Cowardly murderers are just that... They murder innocent people ..:confused::confused:

Ever notice you rarely ever hear the word "murder" to name a crime? Apparently "homocide" is much more correct. It means the same thing though.

So, I hope everyone's Christmas break was great overall. Mine was, but it's always too short. But then again, I was never the type of person who's ever said, "I'm ready to go back."

I developed a sore throat & cough a few days ago, but it's minor.

I got to see the movies Avatar & 2012. They were both great! I was able to clean up part of the house.

I can't believe the last day of break is upon us. I need to wash my car so it's all spiffy, then wash my hair.

Has anyone seen Sherlock Holmes? I want to see that.

I think it's ironic that I have almost $600 in gift cards to spend but it's snowing so I can't go shopping (well I can go but I hate driving in the snow). I guess I'll save them until the spring thaw LOL

Not yet, but I wanted to see SH amongst others (The Blind Side, Did You Hear About the Morgans?, New Moon, & brothers). I also saw Ninja Assassin & Armored, which were also both good.

Let us know TeacherNY! I went and saw The Blindside on NYE. I really did not want to go out to the bars/bands. I just wanted something quiet and tame. The movie was great. I had to laugh out loud at the Democrat joke.

I've heard that The Blind Side is really good. My grandparents went to see Sherlock Holmes on Christmas and said that it was really good. I've seen New Moon twice. :D

Is New Moon really good? That was my least favorite book in the series, so I've been hesitant to see it.

TeacherNY~I'm thinking since it came out about the time that Twilight did, the DVD will come out in March. Though it might be earlier since they released the CD out earlier than expected too.

Sunny~it was my least fav too, but the movie stuck more to the book and therefore IMO the movie is the better of the two so far. I can't wait for Eclipse!

What a way for me to spend the last day of my break! :dizzy: Here I am expecting to have a nice, relaxing last day, then, I get a call from my mom. Her car broke down on the way to church & she's parked @ a nearby mini mall. My dad & I went to see about it. My dad wanted to try something to see if he could get it to run, so we ran to Pep Boys for a couple things, went back to the car, but my parents couldn't get it to move. We had to call a tow truck to take it to the car dealership where my mom will deal w/ it tomorrow after work.

We're all puzzled as to why the car broke down. There were no warning signs or noises. The car will turn on, but won't move (forward or backward).

I really wish my mom would get a new car, but probably not.

We did go out to a nice dinner after that. It was my choice so we went to Panda Inn, one of my favorite Chinese restaurants!

Today I see the sun! It has been overcast for so long I had forgotten what that yellow thing in the sky was!

I thought Lovely Bones was a good movie as well. Sad yes, but I thought the ending was satisfying and hopeful.

I have become the proverbial whipping post. Apparently, nothing I ever do is right, I am far too rigid in my expectations, and never willing to help any of the students. Some days are just not worth getting out of bed for.

Didn't get breakfast, but decided to go to Knott's Berry Farm after all today & it was fabulous! There were not many people, it was leisurely, the lines for the rides were nonexistent, & the weather was just right. It's times like this that make me never want to visit an amusement park on the weekends or summer season ever again.

I've gained 14 pounds in one month. Granted I'm pregnant, and it was technically from week 20-25 but I just can't believe the number on the scale now. It's so petty but it caused a mini breakdown for me yesterday. It's for my healthy baby boy, I just have to tell myself that.

Just spoke with my P this afternoon. It looks like I'll be moving back down to 5th and possibly teaching 4-6 history. I'm not sure how I feel about teaching Nebraska history (can we say snooze fest?) but the idea of teaching both American and World history classes has me a little giddy! :)

Well, my mom had her retirement party today, which was also her last work day. Most people from the district came, including her 1st boss since she started at the district, who's been retired for 6 yrs. She was so touched by that. It was wonderful to see how well liked & respected my mom is! :)

On for her to enjoy another chapter of her life!
