I want to put a sign over a section of my library. Should it say "Non-Fiction" or "Nonfiction".

I used Non-Fiction and another teacher told me that wrong. It is Nonfiction.

You are correct. It is hyphenated!

Correction: I have found it listed both ways in dictionary.com
    Wikipedia has non-fiction.

So, maybe they are both acceptable

Yep, last time we discussed it (on AtoZ), we discovered it could go either way.

I've always used nonfiction. My American Heritage Desk Dictionary agrees.
