Out of the boy names, I'd choose Nathaniel. But truthfully, I'm a big fan of single syllable boy names.

For the girls, I love the name Charlotte.

I like Logan for the boy's name. I'm thinking of naming my lil boy Logan when I have one. ;) For the girl, I like Lily.

I like Logan and Lily. :thumb:

As far as other names... I like Taylor (for a boy or girl) and Brayden (boy). These are actually names I had chosen to use some day but then close friends or family used them so I'm out of luck :(

No wonder you are asking for help--I can't decide. When the time comes to name a child, a lot more goes into the decision than just liking a name. My grandson is named after my father, and his name is beautiful because of that.

Of those choices, I like Logan the best for a boy. I also like Kyle. (I don't like Nathaniel at all).

I don't really like any of those girl names. I can't think of any girl names that really stand out to me right now, but I like something unique.

My mom loves Antoinette & Gabrielle, but I don't like the nicknames that people tend to call people w/ those names (Toni & Gabby )

    Nathaniel.

Charlotte (I have had way too many Lilly's and Sophia's/Sophie's these last couple of years.) Molly is nice, but I like Charlotte better -- however, remember the nickname for Charlotte is Lottie. I'm not sure how I feel about that one.

I didn't know that the nick name was Lottie. I have a great aunt Charlotte and everyone calls her Charlotte. I also had a little girl in my class two years ago named Charlotte.

When I have a children the girl will be Rachel Elizabeth and for a boy at the moment I like Breton Guy (family names).

A friend of my sister is named Charlotte and they usually call her Char. I think if I were having a baby I'd want to stay away from the names on the top 10 baby names list. After you hear the names over and over they lose something. Also, it's best to have at least 2 names picked out so when you see the baby for the first time you will just KNOW "ahh, this baby is definiately a ____(Charlotte, Lily, Fifi)" whatever!

Out of the boys' names, I'd choose Nathaniel in a heartbeat. I like the more traditional names for boys. My favorite girls' names are 1) Molly and 2) Charlotte, but then I'm biased here.

When other girls were planning their dream weddings, I was pouring through baby name books. My absolute favorite name for a girl is Faith Amay, for a boy Matthew Lorne and something Xavier. I used to love the name Christian, but a former student killed it for me.

Nathaniel and Lily is what I would pick. I've always liked Lily for some reason and if I would have a Nathaniel, I would call him Nate.

I really like the name Sophie, but since that's your name Sophia is a nice play off of it.

Out of the 3 boys names, I like Logan the best. I really like Cooper, but I think it would be a great middle name.

    Nathaniel (I like Nate, too)

Lily (I've never had a Lily in my class, but a friend's daughter is named "Lily Margaret"--Margaret after a grandmother. It took me awhile, but I like the combo now.)

Thank you all for your input! It has been nice hearing your responses. I like that everyone has a different take on the names!

By the way, if the baby's name was Nathaniel we would call him Nate. It's funny, I don't know any Lily or Charlotte's in my area. Many of you say that they are common names. I think different parts of the country have names that are "trendy."

So here's my next question, what are the trendiest names in your area right now? I would stay away from them. Thanks!

Oh, I thought maybe it was pronounced some weird way, like Nu De (accent on the De)

    You know I'm kidding right...!

Kind of like that email that was going around, with the girl named Le-A.

Know how to pronounce that one?

Around here Tyler is popular for boys, at least it was back in the 90's when my students were born. I have had more Tylers over the past 5 years than I had ever known in all the years previous. Girls names with variations of Alice are all the rage (Alice, Allison, Alicia, Ally, Allie). I love Allison but will never use it now.

We have a lot of names that end in /ly/ - the sound.

Also, someone else mentioned the /den/ or /ten/ names - Cayden, Jaden, Braden, Braxton, etc.
