If your resume is 2 pages, should you staple them together? Or paper clip? Nothing? The whole application needs to be the cover letter, resume, transcripts, and application. I printed the cover letter and resume on resume paper, but should I also copy the other things on resume paper? Or leave them plain white copy paper? Maybe off white copy paper? The application is several pages long, so I stapled them together. How should I package everything-in some kind of folder? Just leave them all separate and put them in the envelope? Little things...
Is this for dropping off at the school? I would put it all in a little folder just to keep it all organized. I wouldn't worry about the transcript, etc. being on good paper. I would definitely staple the resume, because if it ends up in a pile resumes pages might get mixed up with paper clips.
I would put it in a folder as well with everything together. If you can run the resume back to back that might be better than stapling it.
Actually, in college I was told by an area principal that they throw away ones that are stapled or paper clipped because they have so many to look through and aren't going to take the time to unclip it or fold over the 2nd page. I would just put them in a large envelope (so they're not folded) and mail them as is. I do agree with just having the CL and resume on nice paper & the rest of the stuff on copy paper. Also, I think it looks nice if you print out the address labels for the envelope instead of just writing them.
My resume was two pages as well. I stapled mine and honestly, I've seen all sorts of opinions from everyone on what to do with the resume. At this point, just do what you think would be best. In regards to the type of paper, I don't think you need any sort of special paper for your transcripts or other papers. I used resume paper a few times my first year but it began to get expensive. Instead, I fond a linen-type off-white paper with a lower weight at Kinkos. I got a ream for less than 10 bucks which I thought was a bargain compared to buying resume paper. I only used this paper for my resume, cover letter, and references (looking back, I don't even think I'd do this). When I dropped off my information I stuck it in a manila envelope just like I mailed it but I don't think a folder would be a bad idea. I sort of figure that most districts have a specific place and way of filing these materials anyway.
