My dog's 13th birthday:) is coming up. I wanted to get a special treat for her but I do not have any places in my town that have homemade doggie treats. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with online places? I am thinking something organic/natural b/c she has a pretty sensitive stomach. Thanks!

    Here are some recipes.

My dog had diabetes for the last two years of his life, so he had to be on a low-carb diet. I made him several types from recipes I found online.

I make my own too. My dog's favorite is peanutbutter treats. I got some dog bone cookie cutters on Ebay.

My sister found a dog cake recipe online and she made it for her dog's birthday. It was so cute to see a bunch of dogs eat cake with party hats on LOL

We used to have a neighborhood Dog Bakery and my dog never liked their treats (and she's an eater). She especially disliked the doggie cupcakes with frosting.

Here's a thought ... my dog absolutely loves turkey - even more than chicken. Since your dog is 13, and you don't want to upset her delicate tummy ... why not just poach a big turkey breast?

Thats a really good suggestion... turkey, salmon, venison... ad some nice real veggies, potato and carrots are usually good... nice little birthday meal.

Your dog is a very lucky little girl. Give her a birthday kiss on the head for me

Best approach to your problem is visiting online sites with homemade dog treats ingredients and be inspired to prepare special birthday treats for your dog. Dog birthday cakes are cool to prepare. Your dog will love it, just make sure they are made from natural and healthy ingredients.
