Under references, should I just write "Available upon request" or actually list them.

If I do list them, how should it look? Name, Title, Address, Phone# ?

Also, I can get two wonderful references from Principals at the schools I taught/subbed. Is that sufficient or should I include my present employer? (not school related)

    Thanks in advance :)

I put my references on the second page of my resume and I print them double sided. I list name, title, address, work phone, home phone (if applicable) and e-mail.

I would list the two principals (in order of relevance) and your present employer (unless your present employer is someplace like applebees, then I'd use a professor or a vice principal or mentor teacher).

Do you reference letters? If you do I would just leave the reference part off you resume. If you don't I would make a new page and list the references.
    Something like this
    Mr. Mark Smith
    Principal
    Smith Elementary School
    15 Smith Drive
    Smith, Maine 04065

    email:

References shouldn't be on the resume itself, but a separate Reference sheet.

definitely include them with your resume but on a second page...you don't want people to have to go searching for your references....everything should be there!

I met with another super who said (just like the two I met with) that if you don't have references on your actual resume, consider yourself out of the running for the job. I'm upstate, where the market is tight, and I'm not saying the supers are right or wrong, just what they've said in these meetings.

    Thanks everyone.
Looks like it would be best to go with the majority here.
I'll include them on he second page of my resume.
    Thanks so much!!

Wow, you're actually supposed to put the reference with the job in the actual resume section. I've NEVER had anyone request it that way. Everyone always wants a Reference Sheet, back page of resume or separate sheet put with the cover letter and resume.

I think part of it is that they don't want to deal with a lot of papers. The "rules" don't matter as much any more. If everything is on the resume, that's less papers to loose.

    Oh, one more question.
How should I attach the Cover letter to the Resume? Paper clip? Staple?
    Glue? < that was a joke!! :O)
