    google. You have to have a gmail account but its free and their site is easy. You could use yahoo too but my county blocks anything yahoo.

    Can be used for simple communication, or as an instructional aide.

    You need a tech department to set it up, but then teachers can do it themselves.

    We use weebly.com - not particularly fancy, but easy to update information.

    I use EZClassSites. They have lots of tools and there is a free version that does not limit the size of your site or what you can use.
