My friend made an awesome welcoming bulletin board in the hallway a few years ago that was a crossword puzzle with her upcoming students' names on it. I thought it looked fantastic.

I have a puzzle themed room also. I have an We All Fit In bulletin board where I have them decorate blank puzzle pieces from oriental trading and then add their picture then I put our classroom puzzle up on the board. I Have a large foam cut out of two puzzle pieces hooked together hanging over my library that says Find the Book That Just Fits. My objective boards are large individual puzzle pieces. My lunch count pieces are puzzle pieces all my bulletin boards have puzzle pieces all over them. They have puzzle pieces on their desks. I just love the theme so I decided to keep it again this year.

 

I forgot we have display walls outside our classrooms for each teacher to display student work and mine says Welcome to Mrs. R's Third Grade Class where everyone is an important piece of the puzzle and then I have clothespins with large puzzle pieces hotglued to the front then hot glued to the wall so that I can easily change out their work through out the year. Its cute and everyone that comes down the hall gets to see it.
