Yep, I've officially applied for the Principal Licensure Only Program (what a terrible acronym) at Wright State. Any advice, especially on the fieldwork? I only have three classes I have to take.

Just three classes? Is this specific to your state, or would the credential apply elsewhere?

It's only three classes in my case because the M.Ed. I finished a couple of years ago at the same school covered most of the material. For others, it's a four class minimum depending on transcripts.

Congrats! I'm working on my curriculum administrator license right now. The best suggestion I have is to keep on top of things. My program requires two internships that total 250 field hours.

My AP has already promised to mentor me. We're such a small school, it should be natural for me to take over some responsibilities, especially since I'm the teacher who oversees our satellite classroom on the south side of the city.

You have so much to bring to the administration role; I'm so glad you are going this route!

    Thanks, all.

Throwing this to @YoungTeacherGuy and @Sarge (if he ever comes on here). What should I keep in mind as I start this process? How did you continue to interact with your peers as you did your fieldwork hours that gave you a little bit of administration over them?

    Yay, Cat! You'll be great.

I did my observation/fieldwork hours at schools other than my own.

Also, teachers who leave the classroom for an AP role aren't placed at the site they taught at. They're always moved to another school.
