Hi all! Next year will be my first year teaching Pre-k for 3 year olds. I have taught 4 year olds for the past 2 years so I was wondering from many of you that currently teach 3 year olds, what kind of things do you have on display for your learning walls? I want to keep alot of the things I have now but obviously don't want to do the same things that they will be doing in the 4 year old classroom next year. Anyone have any ideas? I would really appreciate it!

Honestly, my walls are full of work and posters that we do ourselves. If we need a poster about how tadpoles turn into frogs.....we make it. We make it when we are interested in it.....
Even our center designation plaques are full of pics of the kids at play.

I guess my suggestion would be....save a lot of wall so you and your group can MAKE you signs.

My walls are mostly covered by kids' work and documentation of their learning - pictures, observations, etc.

Just keep in mind that at this age repetition is very important!

I always make my wall decor too, or have the kids make it. for the ABCs i had each kid come and make a letter with their handprint (with my help of course) I had a huge poster that wrappd all the way around the room with their huge abc handprints.
colors....I had each kid simply color a whole sheet a paper 1 color
I also like the kids to make their own mailboxes. Just a sheet of poster board folded in half and I let them deorate it and then hang it up.
The rest is mostly artwork. I'm big on that.
