Hello! :) I just graduated college and have an interview for a PreK ASD classroom in a public school setting.

I do not have a degree or certificate in ESE or ASD. My degree is Early Childhood Development & Education. I do have some ASD, EBD, ESE, SLD experience. I have also 6 years of experience working/volunteering in PreK.

What should I expect for them to ask? What should I be prepared for?

    Thanks in advance!

You will need to know something about picture supports, PECs, positive behavior supports specifically for ASD, pivotal response teaching, maybe a bit about DTT, something about physical structure for ASD. Check the videos from "Butterfly Effects" for some basics on this stuff. Good luck.
