I'm almost 20 weeks with twins.

Lately I've been having ligament pain...but some other pain too. No bleeding or fluids to accompany it...just hurts.

Example: I was at Bath and Body Works in line, and all of the sudden I started cramping and felt like I was about to pass out. The cramping wasn't that severe...but was more than I had normally felt. I wanted to rush through the line, but of course there had to be someone in front of me returning stuff too...ugh!
Anyway...I got back to the car, and when I sat down it immediately went away...and I felt lots of relief.
This happened at the mall yesterday too...and when I was at Best Buy with bf...but when I sat down...I felt much better.
    Why?
I sometimes get cramps when I am sitting...but if I change position, they go away.
Funny...I never seem to get them when I am at grocery store...only at a store in or near the mall.

I wouldn't panic just yet. Ligament pain and cramping can be totally normal in pregnancy. Between the growing babies and the hormones at work loosening up your joints, pain can be par for the course. I would keep doing exactly what you're doing. When it hurts, sit down for a little bit. Pay attention to where you are and what you're doing, and bring it up the next time you see your doctor.

I think any pain in pregnancy should be reported to the dr. If you don't have a visit coming soon, just call and talk to one of the nurses. I'm sure it's perfectly normal, but wouldn't it make you feel better for someone else to tell you that? Someone with an MD behind their name??

Next appt is on 12th...at regular doctor...I'll ask then.

If it gets dehabilitiating between now and then, or you start bleeding again, call the doc right away. Other than that, just keep taking it easy.

They must know you are happier when @ the grocery store and getting healthy food for them too.:)
JMHO...Maybe they sense that you are happier @ the grocery store than @ the store or near the mall.

st...actually, there could be a very good reason you don't experience pain in the grocery store. Typically, we push a cart through the grocery store, but not through the mall. That little bit of support you get from the cart could take just enough stress off your back to keep you from having pain.

I agree with the cart theory - it can change your posture enough to relieve some stress. Also at the grocery story we are moving around more, bending, etc. - just standing can be more painful than actually walking. Do you have a tall stool to sit on when you teach. It may help later in your pregnancy. Do you think you wear different shoes to the mall than you do to the grocery store? That could make a difference. Good luck - sounds like you are doing well, all considered.

ST I too have been experiencing ligament pain. It felt like I had gone for a run for the other day when I woke up with soreness in my hips and joints, but I had done no such exercise. I feel like I have read in pregnancy books that this is a normal feeling.
