My husband left for his fourth tour of duty in Iraq today. Please pray for his safe return. He recently came home from a 5 month tour and during that tour I gave birth to our first child, he is now three months. We are blessed that my husband was home for almost a month with us and we were able to spend Christmas together as a family. This deployment was not a planned one, we found out he was leaving again 5 days after his homecoming, and we do not know how long he will be gone. Please pray for his safety and my sanity. God Bless!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I will pray for his safe return and peace for you.
I will be praying for your husband's safety - and the safe return of all his comrades! Also, prayers are sent for your strength of mind and spirit. I hope that this gives you some good thoughts. http://www.iwo.com:80/heroes.htm
GlendaLL!!!! Incredible!! That gave me the most wonderful thoughts!! My husband is the 19th picture (He is leaning down talking to a group of Iraqi children)!!!! I have never seen this and my husband is represented in it!! Thank you so much!!! *The lord works in mysterious ways!* *I believe this picture is from his first deployment in Iraq.*
How amazing is that!!! You must be so proud to see the good that your husband doing in Iraq! I think this is a sign that your husband will be "Homeward Bound" soon!
Thank you for the sacrifices that you and your husband are making for our country. May God bless your family and bring your husband home soon.
My heart goes out to you. My hubbie deployed after Sept 11 for a year and to Iraq for a year (2001-2001 and 2003-2004) and may depoly again soon. You have my prayers and my 100% support, I have been a military wife for a long time and know the system very very well, if you need anything PM me and I will help you fix whatever it is. You know you cannot always count on headquarters platoon to help and the base services are always strained during high deployment periods. So feel free to ask me anything, or to just vent I know excatly what you are going through. God Bless
Thank you very much! This is his 4th deployment in the last 4 years. I am pretty used to them but this time I am a "single mom" (my sone is 3 1/2 months) and finding it difficult to adjust to work and mother hood. I appreciate your support and prayers. I will also pray that your husband doesn't have to redeploy.
My first bit of advice, you must take a day or two a month off from being a mom. You need to watch a movie, read a book, take a bath, a nap, etc. Something without the baby around to recharge, it is harder to go alone when you are used to having your other half there. The stress of doing it alone while worrying about your spouse is a huge burden (I have three kids, I know how hard it is) also remember to get adaquate sleep.....oh, DO NOT WATCH THE NEWS! Too depressing.
My prayers are absolutely with you. My husband just returned from a 1-year tour (he's been home 2 months) and has already found out that he will be leaving again, for an even longer tour, in less than 9 months. I know how hard it can be, so if you ever need anything, feel free to PM me!
