I just took Praxis2 Biology content knowledge exam this morning. I am a bit confused about what I saw on the computer:confused:
After I submitted the answers at the end of exam, I got "total score 178" and then the break down of each category. So, is 178 a scale score or raw score? I figured it had to be scale score because there were 150 questions. But I read somewhere in this forum that the computer only gives you the raw score and you have to wait for the official report from ETS. What? Explain please:thanks:
By the way, I need 142 to pass...

178 would be a plausible raw score only if the test has 200 scorable items.

Not all Praxis tests are multiple-choice only; for the ones that aren't, the written responses do need to be graded separately.

Think of your 178 as an unofficial scaled score. It could get adjusted a little, so I wouldn't recommend breaking out the champagne yet - but you'd be within your rights to buy and ice it.
