Hi everyone! I have a quick question... I took the Praxis 1 (5751) today and I was expecting to get my reading and math scores back when I finished. However, when I got to the screen it said (NS). Has this happened to anyone else? Did i fail horribly? Did I cancel my scores?:eek:hmy:

    Helpppp! I'm so stressed!

For a while Praxis computer-based tests posted unofficial scores at the end of the testing session - but only for multiple-choice tests. Since 5751 includes an essay that is, I hope, scored by real live readers, it's possible that Praxis has decided not to issue unofficial scores for the rest of the test.

Anyway, congratulations for having it done, and breathe, please.

This is off topic, but is the Praxis equivalent to the CBEST? I've passed the CBEST, but with the program I will be going through, the Praxis will be required. Does anyone know if passing the CBEST will allow for my scores to carry over? Thanks in advance.

"Praxis" refers to a range of tests that includes basic skills exams (comparable to CBEST), subject-matter exams (comparable to CSET), reading-instruction exams (comparable to RICA), and more. Since you're posting here, you're probably referring to Praxis's basic-skills tests: PPST and the newer Praxis Core.

Whether CBEST will be accepted in lieu of Praxis I differs from state to state, and it may also make a difference whether you're transferring a finished credential or training under another state's rules.

Does it really take 10 days AFTER the window closes. I'm waiting on my scores to tell a school who is considering hiring me. I've already had a job interview.

It looks like the passing math score in CT is 171 and the passing reading score is 172. So you passed! Check out minimum passing scores here.
