I just took my Praxis Math 5732 exam, and on the completion screen I was shown "Praxis Core Skills: Mathematics: 168."

I'm wondering, for those who have taken the test, is that my score? And if it is, is it my actual score, not a raw one? I know I need a 150 in my state to pass, so if it is really 168 that would rock. :)

I found the test to be very similar to the practice tests found online, some questions were identical. I would definitely tell others to focus more on geometry and ratios, as they were by far the most difficult for me.

Also, for anyone preparing for the test, REALLY manage your time well. I had like 10 questions left at the 5 min. mark and just scrambled. It goes by a lot quicker than you think!

5732 has just 58 questions. I'd be surprised if 168 turned out NOT to be your scaled score.

Did you take the ETS practice test by any chance? I am not doing well on it even though I have studied for the past month and I am starting to feel discouraged. I re-take the exam Saturday, after failing (144). I feel like the other practice tests I've taken were relatively easy, but the ETS one is just weird. From what I remember it even seems like the first time I took the test for real it was easier than this practice one.

Please let me know the websites you used for practice tests! Wish me luck this weekend!

Hugs, english91108. Does your score report give any indication of the areas in which you came up short?

No, Teachergroupie. Some of the practice tests have the function where it tells you what you are doing wrong and shows you ways to do the problems. The practice test from ETS does not do this, it just shows right and wrong answers.

So is that score of 144 a result from your previous attempt, or a result from taking a practice test?

So are you saying that the score shown on the screen at the end of the test is your scaled score? On my first try at the 5732 this was indeed the case. If that's true, I'm headed back for a 3rd try. I am getting very discouraged as I engaged a tutor and thought I did much better than the 130 I saw at the end of the test.

Hugs, ceqrnlv. From what I'm seeing for this and other Praxis tests, Praxis is generally giving raw scores broken down by test domain: a single three-digit number is tending to be a scaled score.

In which domains are you coming up short?

    Hi Ceqrnlv,

The score I saw at the end of my test on 1/11/15 was my unofficial score. It turned out to be the same fore my official score. My official scores came back this past Saturday, much faster than expected.
