Hi All, I was planning on taking the Praxis II last month, but I was freaking out and simply did not have the time to put into the test. I'm beginning to study again starting today (minimum 1 hour/day for the next month). I just took a practice test from ETS and received a score of 81/130, which translates to a 62%. I calculated the percentage to pass the test and I need an 83%. The breakdown of my score is as follows: Reading: 31/49 Language Use & Vocab: 19/33 Writing, Speaking, Listening: 31/48 I'm really worried I may just not be cut out to pass this test. What can I do to ensure I pass it? I can't start grad school until I do. (I've already started looking at the Elmer's posts, Quizlets & the Mometrix book which is horrid). Thanks for any and all help!!!
I used the sample test (the $19.95 version you purchase from ETS), and a Metromix Study Guide as my foundation for studying. I did a lot of googling/wikipedia from there to shore up areas where I was weak. Worked well.
I felt the Mometrix guide was useful as a general overall guide. The best guide was the fact that on the Praxis practice test, they explain the answers after you finish. That was an immense help.
