I can work the heck out of geography, math, sensorial, and Language but when it comes to Practical Life I always feel a little stumped. Does anyone have any great ideas for PL for Kindergarteners. I teach at a public Montessori school so there are no younger children. Some will need the basic pouring, etc., but some will be way beyond that.

    hi,
even the older ones love pouring activities, spooning, sorting, lacing, button, snaps, zippers, cutting on the line, washing hand, washing tables and so many more. it is the motion that these activities help the children with fine movments for writing and concentrating. the older students even still in my class will go over to practical life activities because this is something they may have mastered or just like to do because its fun.
i change the activities once in awhile to keep interest. open and closing jars with something inside is fun.
    sorting coins dimes, nickels, pennies.
    many ideas.
    hope this helps.
