I received my welcome back newsletter from the school today with a schedule of our professional development days coming up before school starts. It came with a schedule of "Power Teaching Training Sessions" for one of our days (only an hour). I know a lot of people on this board use Power Teaching -- how do you think it works for high school?

I use it in middle school science classes, and in college level history classes, and it works great in both.

I know quite a few high school teachers that use it very successfully.

Simply using class/yes with my seniors saves me an amazing amount of time every year.

I thought of starting it this year. I got an idea for scoreboards. Refresh and start with fresh scoreboards each time to avoid confusions.

Power Teaching has been renamed Whole Brain Teaching. There's a forum on it here on a to z.

Basically it is an integrated classroom management and teaching approach that is fun, and effective for you and your kids. as you might have guessed, I am a huge advocate of the system based on how dramatically it haas changed my teaching.

I love it. There are videos online for all grade levels if you want to see it in action at the higher grades.
