CAn I make a link to a word document in power point? I am assuming that the document would need to be saved to the computer or disk that the powerpoint is running on???

I have never used a word document in a PP but I have made many using my own photos. I think you can insert them as you would clip art. I am interested in hearing others replies.

Yes you can, I have done it before. You must have the Word document and the pp saved in the same folder. You then create a hyperlink. Let's say you wanted to have your resume linked to your pp. To hyperlink your resume, you would highlight the word 'resume', right click, choose hyperlink, open your portfolio folder and find your resume document, choose it, and then click OK.
