I'll need to go out later today or tomorrow & I've been wanting to get 2 more bags.
My niece bought a bag of the cappuccino flavored Lays and they were disgusting! I love Doritos Salsa Verde!
I'm not surprised.

Oh, I love Doritos! I'll take any flavor!!
The cappuccino ones are DISGUSTING. The mac & cheese ones weren't anything special, either. I'm dying to try the wasabi/ginger ones.
I saw small bags of them in 7-11, but only in the cappuccino and mac & cheese flavors so far.
Darn it! No 7-11s here unless I want to drive 40 minutes LOL I will keep looking!
I love the regular salt flavor Lays and Ruffles.
How do you function?! You can't go 5 miles on Long Island without seeing a 7-11.

I guess I live in the wrong part of NY! My area of the Hudson Valley has only 1. We have tons of Stewarts though so maybe I'll check there.
The grocery store has those chips Buy one Get one Free. Not only do I NOT need 1 bag but I certainly do not need 2 bags!!! :woot:
Wavy Lays Hickory Barbeque. I can eat the entire bag in a sitting if someone would let me.
Here in Canada, our contest/trial flavours are different. We have:
- cinnamon bun
- bacon poutine
- jalapeno mac and cheese
If I want a cinnamon bun I think I'll just eat a cinnamon bun :haha:
There's no telling what people will eat nowadays so I guess they'll just keep coming up with wacky flavors!!
My hometown is famous for its chocolate-covered potato chips. They are heavenly. I've tried other chocolate-covered potato chips, including the ones made by Lay's a year or so ago, but nothing compares to the ones in my hometown.
This is how I feel when reading about cappuccino chips. Love cappuccino, but not with/on a chip.
I lived in the Hudson Valley from 2012 to earlier this year and the closest 7-11 was in Wappingers Falls over an hour away
Haha that's the one I pass on the way to my mom's house. I live a few towns north of there. I think I got gas there once 5 years ago lol
I just did a Google search and it turns out there's one in Poughkeepsie. Although it's in the part of the city that I would never set foot in again... . The only reason I ever went to Poughkeepsie after my first visit was to go to the Galleria .
The town of Poughkeepsie (the galleria, Marist, etc.) is ok but the City is what you want to stay out of. The sad part is there are great restaurants there that I won't try because it's just scary!!
We go on vacation and we stop at a local candy store & buy the dark chocolate covered....UGH wish they weren't hours away!!!!
I almost bought a bag of the Wasabi Ginger chips last night at the store. I just kept telling myself that I did not NEED a whole bag if I just wanted to taste ONE LOL
We have a local gourmet store that makes the choc covered chips but they don't look very appetizing. I'm not a fan of the salty/sweet combo.
I'm kind of fond of shrimp chips, though I think you might only find them in Japanese or Asian markets.

I like salt and pepper kettle chips.
I do not have a favorite. I do read the ingredients to make sure there is no msg. So I cannot eat dorritos, pringles, cheese puffs, and a few others :,(
Ohhhh love the salty!
With a sandwhich..love the cape cod chips on the side and nacho cheese doritos is always a favorite!
I also love the crunchy cheetos as well!
I forgot about sweet potato chips! I had them a few times and they were good!
This thread is making me crave a tuna sandwich. I always put plain, regular (not baked) potato chips on my tuna sandwiches. Is that weird?
I like chips on deli meat sandwiches but never tried it with tuna.
I envy all you skinny people who can eat all those carby, salty, greasy chips! My mouth is watering right now. I better not eat any or I'll never lose those last 5lbs!
Plain Lay's. Or Fritos. Nothing flavored. The plain Lay's are usually good for a few jokes. (I do love a good Lay.) Don't judge me.
I put plain potato chips in my peanut butter sandwiches.

I do too... My neighbor thought was weird, but now if she makes one she always has to have chips!!!
I put doritos cheesy ones baked or regular on my ham and cheese..like that crunch!!!

OMG! I can't believe how literally HOOKED I am on those Lays Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger potato chips! They are out of this world & I can't stop eating them.
I'm coming over, Ms. I!! Just let me try one of those chips then I'll be on my way
Sure, come on over! There's a bowl of them waiting for you!
Just got some dark covered chocolate ones...waiting for the weekend to crack them open!!! A shop north of us makes them!!! YUM!!!

I don't know why they stopped selling my Lay's wasabi ginger potato chips, but I looked around every store in my area & I no longer see them anywhere.
Here's how much I'm hooked on them: I just ordered 8 bags at 8.5 oz each via Amazon. That should last me a while. They should be on their way soon!
Oh boy! LOL
Yep, $42.54 total paid. I don't usually do that, but they're just so good!
TeacherNY, did you ever try them?
Nope, but I might try to find them this weekend if they aren't gone already! If I don't like them I'll bring them to work and I know people will eat them (anything free they will eat LOLOL).
I know that here, the specialty flavours of the Lays chips were only available for a limited time--after the fan vote, the winning flavour will become permanent. I've only seen one of the flavours in our stores recently--one that I sense was the least popular, so the stock lasted longer.
Yeah, I think that's it. It was a limited time thing!
