Does anyone have a good, simple, cheap recipe that I could bring to our school pot luck lunch on Thursday? It can be anything, it just needs to be relatively easy to make!

In the past, I've done more snacky things, but this year it seems most people are doing that, so I'd really like some sort of side dish. Or maybe a dessert? Any ideas!

I make this & it's yummy...going to give you my 2 cents though...

I used vanilla pudding ok...but now make with one cheesecake & one white chocolate... So good!!! I use about 1 box of honey grahams. They can be the cheap ones as well!! Hubby prefers it set overnite because the crackers get a little soft & when you first make it they're a little crispy. I have also used dark choc frosting...yummy as well!!! Super easy to make...not too bad on price either...

I need 2 potluck dishes. One for the 19th and one for the 20th of December. Last year I made a dip with pita chips but one potluck is a dinner so I want something more substantial.

 one year, for our Holiday school potluck, they didn't divide up categories between departments. We had 15 crockpots of meatballs and various desserts - and nothing else!

I always make pasta salad. Box of mini bowtie pasta, one prepared packet Good Seasonings Italian dressing, lots of fresh veggies (cherry tomatoes, black olives, jar marinated artichokes, bell pepper, lightly steamed zucchini and asparagus, etc), fresh mozzarella cut up, some basil, and salt and pepper. Sometimes I add shredded ham, but I leave it out for pot lucks in case someone is vegetarian.

I made some delicious meatballs for the party I had Saturday.

I bought a bag of premade Italian style meatballs. I micro-defrosted them, and threw them into my crock pot.

I added in a can of cranberry sauce, mushed up, a bottle of taco seasoning, and some apple cider-- all stuff I had on hand. Then I turned on the crockpot for 2 hours until the party.

THey got RAVE reviews; I'm making them again for Christmas Eve.

I've never seen taco seasoning in a bottle. Is it different from what is in the pack?

Obviously I don't cook much, so I ended up just making green bean casserole.

For parties I usually do mini turkey meatballs, cranberry sauce, Frank's hot sauce, and some spices. I'm not sure how they'd be in the crockpot since I've never tried it. For the potlucks I'm going to the food has to be served cold or in crockpot since there's no oven to heat things up in. Not even a microwave. I was thinking of doing a cold antipasti platter. I will have to look on the list to see what others are bringing. I did see a cute dessert though that I might want to try at some point.

She might have meant taco sauce since my recipe is similar with hot sauce. Same texture without the heat.

Maybe it was enchilada sauce? I honestly don't remember. It never comes out the same way twice because I never follow a recipe! I pull whatever I happen to have in the house-- something fruity with something tomato based with just a little zing.

I usually do buffalo chicken dip. It's my standby dish. Easy, fast, and guaranteed to get eaten!
