We haven't done this in a while, and I will admit to a purely selfish reason for asking now.

But let's see all those fantastic websites everyone has created to celebrate their classes. They are always good for inspiration. Mainly mine, since I don't have mine done yet and can't post it.

We are required to use the website builder that the district supplies for us. Here's my "summer" page. I'll add content next week WHEN I FIND OUT WHAT I'M TEACHING !!!! (Grrr).

I am about to start my student teaching, and I decided to start a website. I did this one a few days ago, and it needs lots of work--that and school hasn't started so there isn't any real content yet!

That unit you did on your 'trip' across the USA was fantastic - you had a great bunch of kids by the looks of things!

I can't post a link, but if you type in www dps61 org/schools/jh (replace the spaces with periods)you will come to the web page I made for our school. The teacher pages are mainly constructed by students and don't have a lot of info, but the pages from the "Links" page are ones we use in a variety of classes MS Classes are lessons I use with my middle school classes.

Sno, I host through yahoo. That is also who I got my domain name through, and I was also provided a separate email address for my site that is linked to my original yahoo email. It is mosre expensive than the teacherweb.com, but there is much more flexibility too. I paid $9 for the first 2 months, and it will be $12 for each month after.

Click on yahoo services, under more services, and I think you'll find the link for hosting. Just hosting will be cheaper than what I pay, I imagine, if you already have the domain name and site.

When I started my site I used lunar pages for a host. You get a free domain name, use of free software and it is only 6.95 a month. I was a newbie and was awed by their 24/7 customer support and tutorials. They've won a lot of awards too. Here's a link: http://www.lunarpages.com/id/educa20

    BuLadybug,
I Love that you included a photo of yourself in 2nd grade! I'm not brave enough to include myself in 6th grade - middle school years were not kind to me! I guess that's why I should include a photo...
