I can't believe you teach in those heels! Ouch!

[IMG] I have three pairs of these in different colors- brown, black, burgandy. I also have 3 pairs of dansko sandals!!

I also love the flat, black boots. I have a scrunchy pair in brown too, with a rounded toe.

I just got these for 3.49 at Target. They are comfy enough to at least TRY to wear at school!

And these I have practically worn out. I have a similar pair in gold...

When I like a shoe- which is hard for me- I buy lots of pairs!

Okay...I do wear shoes with heels (chunky two inch at most), but how do you stand walking around with shoes that have those skinny heels all day long?

    I want these!

    These are my newest pair...

Here are the two pairs of shoes I lived in last year...

    And on casual days...

    MissFroggy,
Where can you buy Dansko shoes? They look comfortable! I need to replace the shoes I have.

If you have the picture in photobucket you can post the img code, which will post the picture.

I wear "ballerina" flats or black boots like the ones Miss Froggy posted most days.

Dressy days: (I have these in brown and black!)

    Many days I wear these:

    Or something like this:

I have these in red w/white polka dots (these are currently my favorite shoes!)

I own a variety of sandals and flip-flops that I usually wear. I wear a lot of ballet flats, too. Counting flip-flops, I probably have 60-70 pairs of shoes (I just gave about 20 to the Goodwill last month).

I wear a size 11 wide, so it's tough for me. I've found success with Skechers.

I have these Nike's in brown.

Since I have such large feet I find sandals to be the most comfortable to wear to work. Here is an example:

I'd mentioned somewhere else that I LOVE shoes, although I'm always in my slippers by lunch because my feet hurt.

I love my Birkenstocks. I have five different styles . . . 3 sandals and 2 Mary Janes, but NO CLOGS. I hate clogs.

    I just ordered these yesterday.

I also love my Old Navy flip flops . . . although I stick with black, brown, and navy for work.

And because school starts on Monday for me, I've been cleaning up my school shoes and ironing my clothes . . . so here some shoes that I currently have sitting on my bed.

Jem, I LOVE Merrell's. In my pre-teaching life when I had TIME to do things and lived in a diff part of the state, I was really into biking and hiking ... Merrells would take me everywhere!

I'm only 5 feet tall so I live in high heels! On Friday's I'm often mistaken for a student when I am dressed down!

I survive by putting the gel inserts into all of my shoes. I love Dr. Shol's for Her, they are wonderful!

I have shoes similar to these in black that I wear both dressed up and with jeans:

    http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?index=22&category=cat20173&prodId=177572&brand=

I also have shoes like these in black and brown:

    http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?index=25&category=cat20010&prodId=171198&brand=

I usually stick to tennis shoes on Friday, but I really like some of the ballet flats I've seen on this thread. Thanks for the ideas!

They are incredibly comfortable, but I've literally worn this pair everyday for the last 2.5 years. I'm surprised they are still held together.

If I wore high heels to work everyday, you would be paying attention to me limping from sore feet, slipping on the hall floor, and praying I wouldn't trip on the stairs!

I love heels! If you break them in, they're great! They make me feel very feminine while giving me a sense of power!

I agree with sstager. I'm also short and have a problem with pant legs being too long. I guess I could have them tailored, but it's more fun buying shoes. :p

Giraffe, I have the first pair of shoes you posted in brown. They are my favorite!! I lost the first pair I bought the weekend of my wedding and ended up buying another pair shortly thereafter. I really should get them in black since I need a new pair of black heels.

I have an awful time finding shoes. My feet are small, so many of the women's shoes are too big and the girl's shoes look way too young.

I am addicted to shoes. I wear heels everyday, I am no longer a clasrom teacher but I walk all over our huge campus all day long. I feel so feminine and so put together with my 3 inch heels and a killer Benetton suit. I always wear closed toed heels. Most of the teachers are men at my middle school, my husband calls my shoes man killers. I never wear ankle straps. Gosh this makes me want to buy more shoes.

I'm just amazed at the beautiful and dressy high heels some people are posting here. I'd be gutted if paint dripped on those right above this post, esp. on the suede part. Gutted, I tell you.

I like heels, do use them and feel good inside when I do. I am also aware that students do "respond" to the teacher's outfit...I have concluded this over the past years. But, to be honest, heels are not practical for me, because I walk a lot when I teach. I can only wear them now and then, or my back will hurt at the end of the day.
I like to wear heels when I go out for dinner, movies, etc.

I love the look but can't wear heels, I just can't stand anything but a flat or a loafer. If my feet hurt, I am just miserable.

Well, when both of your knees and both of your ankles are made at least partially out of titanium, and what's not is getting ready to go, heels are just out of the question. I'd like to have as few reconstructive surgeries as possible. I wear these because I would like to have as few joint replacements as possible....

Sorry about the bad pic...it's the best one I have that doesn't have me in it (and the little orange thing is a kitten)
