Post number not increasing

I noticed that my posts are still numbered at 23 and I know I have made at least three today. Why is the number not increasing?

 

Wow! Look at that! I don't know how I did it but it went up!

 

Posts made in the chit chat and games forums (and maybe a few others too) don't count for your number of posts.

Replies don't matter. Posts in different education threads will bring up your totals.
