I was looking for information on token economies on this forum and came across this teacher's website.....

    http://hill.troy.k12.mi.us/staff/bnewingham/myweb3/

It was very inspirational and gave me tons of great ideas regarding class management, classroom design, etc. I would love to see some more teacher websites that are this outstanding. Anyone care to post ones that you have found? Thanks!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

That is an awesome website. And what an amazing teacher. How does she get all that in? Her students all look so engaged and happy. Next year, I'm doing to use some of her ideas.

Check out her book projects page - I've used many of them this year as well as the master club and the kids love them!

I'm glad we have this thread! I was just thinking yesturday that I need to find some other great websites to bookmark. I may be moving from kinder to an upper grade and I would like to start looking at some upper grade site to get some more ideas. I found this site about 2 weeks ago and this is the one site that REALLY got me inspired to do upper grade, which is why I told the principal that I would like to move up (all based on a website) :) I really love her economic idea and would love to implement that in my classroom.

That website first posted is my FAVORITE. She's amazing. I use some of her ideas with my first graders, like reading workshop. She makes me almost want to teach third grade.. hehe. I love watching her movies, and I'm always looking at the tour of her classroom. It's so awesome.

Here is a kindergarten website I think a lot of you probably know. I use a lot of her ideas in first, and even some in second. I can't wait to see some other awesome teacher websites!

I wanted to go to sleep earlier but I can't get off Mandygregory.com! Wow! I want to organize my classroom so badly. However, we have to box everything up soon because we are getting new carpet... so I guess my organizational spree will have to wait for now. At least now I can plan.... hehe.

If you have not checked out Mrs. Newingham's site you have got to. Her classroom is amazing and she has such great ideas. The best part is that she is willing to share with all of us. She has posted printable genre posters and forms for reading and writing workshop plus alot more. Way cool!

Thanks for the reminder...I've been inspired by a few of those sites before! Here's one someone just mentioned in another thread http://www.carlscorner.us/? Cute songs. I really don't sing in my classroom, but if I did... I'd find my songs here!

Thanks for sharing!! I'm super excited....this being my first year teaching and my looking to beg, borrow, and steal any and all ideas. I like that it is geared for the older guys (so many sites look at the younger population). Yay! :D

My list of favorite classrooms of all time (umm... so far) are here- http://www.teachingvision.org/classrooms.html . I have loved Mrs. Newingham's site for a year and Mrs. Renz's for I think three years! Mrs. Renz inspired me so much in the beginning and still does to this day. Mrs. Newingham's regional tour makes me think of how I can improve mine a bit.

However, another I rank right up there is Mrs. Sunda's website! It's at the bottom of the list (because it's ABC order). She has the most incredible and original projects for her gifted students (grades 3-5).

I spend a lot of time on the net scouring for great teaching websites. So far, my ABSOLUTE favorite is:

    www.busyteacherscafe.com

The units section is great! There's tons of pdfs you can download and use!
