I am putting together a portfolio and thinking about applying to an assistant teaching position at a charter school. Do I need to have a teaching philosophy statement if applying for an assistant position?

I also read that you should not include a philosophy statement unless asked for one. But have one on hand incase you are asked for one later on.

IMO, I wouldn't include it in your portfolio if the position is for an assitant position, but I would have it on hand in case you need it for the interview. Good luck!
