please check my grammar on this sentence

    HI, I am applying to a new school and noticed a newspaper article in my research of a quote the superintendent made. I thought it would be nice to address the quote in my cover letter. However, I am unsure if the comma and quotations are correct. I second guess everything since even one mistake would put my cover letter in the REJECT Pile. thanks in advance. Here it is::

    I agree with your quote, “These kids may be poor, but they're not stupid.” You must be very proud of the success over the past several years of students in your district.

    I think your comma/quotation marks look correct!

    Yup. Though I might call it a remark or an observation rather than a quote.
