Here I am...playing the waiting game again! The principal at my dream school in the District I live in has recommended me for hire!!! The next board meeting will be next month, and I am worrying myself to death that something will go wrong between now and then! Any other waiting game stories that turned out okay? Might provide me with a little comfort...
Typically the board approval is just a formality. I was already working prior to board approval at my current job.
I accepted a verbal offer, but won't have a contract until my transcripts and verification of experience forms have been returned and I'm approved by the board. I talked to HR today and they said no one has ever not been approved, and that I definitely have a job.
I was wondering the same thing. I was approved by the board but won't sign a contract until the 2nd week in July.
I accepted a verbal offer and now waiting on my electronic contract to sign and seal my position as official. We teachers have a lot of waiting that goes on. Waiting for interviews, then waiting for the offer, then waiting to sign the contract to waiting for the school year to start. Lol
