So we have 4 days of school left and are having a marble party tomorrow in 2nd grade. As you can imagine, the chattiness is higher every day now. What are some ways to get their attention( without clapping hands, turning lights off ) and reminding them they still need to follow rules?
What are some witty ways of constantly reminding them to whisper or talk softer????

    Thank you so much,

At my school, we teach them to be STAR listeners. STAR stands for Sitting up straight, eyes Tracking the speaker, being ready to Ask and Answer questions, and showing Respect. Now I just softly sing, "Twinkle, twinkle, little..." By the time I get to star, I have a class full of active listeners.
