Some of you may already be familiar with Pintrest but those of you that aren't, it's a great resource!! A colleague showed it to me briedlfy this week as I was talking to her about the dreaded fractions lessons coming up and she found some great resources for me there. I joined myself. Basically (and someof you that are veteren users of Pintrest may be able to better explain) you have a "board" and you "pin" interests there and when you go to your page, there is all kinds of posts etc there. I posted Education, arts, quotes/posters and some other things there. So when I look at my page there are posts that pertain to my interests. The posts are things other have found that match that category. It could be recipes or a link to a page, pretty much anything I think. I has been a great resource for me to find ideas and activities to teach certain lessons. You should check it out!
They said they'll send me an invite soon. Sooo, once I get it, I will definitely look all of you guys up.
I have no idea..... When she began following me I "clicked" to follow her back so ..... what is your username? I will see if I can figure it out....
I love pinterest! It has been such a wonderful resource for both teaching and wedding planning. Follow me: pinterest.com/missamamda/
So, you can ONLY link to websites if they have images, right? I found this one website I want to save on Pinterst, but it says it can't find any images or videos on the site (the website has videos and I'm sure images, it just can't seem to recognize them). It won't let me pin the website. I like pinterest, but I need a site where I can also bookmark my favorite websites, darn it.
Peachy, if you are looking for a website to keep up with bookmarks: portaportal.com .. thats exactly what you are looking for!
Oh my gosh! I'm so addicted to Pinterest now! I go on there all the time to see if anyone's posted something new. I NEED more friends though so I can see more things. If you're on Pinterest, be sure to friend me! I'm Peachyness on there.
Peachyness, you can befriend whoever you want. If you are looking for something, just search it and you can just pin it or follow the person who has what you are looking for.
You don't just have to "follow" people, you can explore and search things or view the most pinned things by subect.
I learned something new about using pinterest. I highlighted the words and copied it so that I didn't have to actually type in the description. I was planning on just copying and pasting. So, when I clicked on the Pin It bookmarklet, the words that I had highlighted were already the description box. I didn't need to type or paste anything. Cool!
