Wow lots of stuff to read through! Here's my dress: A lot of the shoes you posted are really cute, but I'm not at all interested in spending over $40 on a pair of shoes. Especially if they're not versatile enough to wear again. They need to have a low heel since I've had lots of ankle surgeries and can't handle anything tall. And of course because I'll be on ice and snow! Don't need to add any more surgeries to the ones I've already piled up! I guess I should go ahead and throw in that this "wedding" is just a paper signing deal. It is super super small and quick. After the "ceremony" (which will take place in hopefully under 10 minutes behind my uncle's outdoor equipment shop) we'll go skiing and drink beer and eat pizza. Once my novio and I move back to the USA we'll have a whole shebang. That's another reason I don't want to spend tons of money on a pair of shoes. You guys can definitely talk me out of the shoes, but I'm 100% wearing a petticoat. They're just fun! :haha:
What about these? http://www.lightinthebox.com/satin-...earl-wedding-party-women-s-shoes_p376620.html Or these in silver? http://www.lightinthebox.com/sparkl...ng-shoes-with-sequin-more-colors_p342661.html

Well I have the opposite problem-- I have boats at the ends of my legs! I need a size 40. I totally loved loved those last ones almost enough to consider buying them. But they don't have a 40!
My BF is a 15. It's ridiculous. We shop for him at Casual Male XL Big and Tall. They have a decent selection of shoes.

Your dress is lovely. Go for a pop of color in the shoes. Leave the petticoat to Cyndi Lauper....the fabric of that dress is going to look bunchy with a tulle petticoat under it.
I'm now thinking these in blue. More than I wanted to spend, but I worked at that shoe store for years so I definitely know my size. And I could wear them again. ?
Cheap, but dressy: http://www.payless.com/store/catalo...016:cat440044&pageSize=20&icid=tlc_hero_women
I only read the first few pages of posts but I personally dont think the shoes match the petticoat. How about these with the lilac petticoat? http://www.zappos.com/j-renee-rosina-multi-glitter-fabric
I really hate to keep shooting down what you're giving me because you're being really nice by helping, but those are just too high. And the ones that weren't high were open toe. I guess I could handle them for just a few minutes in the snow...
Lucy...I'm a shoe aficionado...sorry if what I'm posting is too high...I'll keep looking. I just want you to be able to look back years from now and still love the way you looked on your wedding day.
:2up::thanks: I used to love high high heels but surgeries have forced me into low ones. But wearing low heels instead of high is certainly not the worst thing in the world! I'm going to attempt to drag my novio to the mall again this weekend to see if we find anything. I'm not holding my breath though... Found some like Mike's but cheaper! http://www.stevemadden.com/Item.aspx?id=93830&np=431_505 4 inch might be too high. Was trying to stay around 3.
Now thinking these in purple. Still with the light purple petticoat. They're over my price range but my sister said she'd give me her $80 credit on Zappos! So they'd be free I also decided to make my own fabric bouquet. My prototype from yesterday is not very nice, but I'm learning. I bought a very dark purple shiny organza that I think will match the shoes, and I'll probably make some white "flowers" too.
I do really, really like your last pair! However, shoes are what I love the most in the world, so I was inspired to virtual shoe shop. (I love, love, love heels, but they are just not practical in my 100 year old classroom with uneven floors!) Anyway, ballet flats are my best friend! With your ankle issues and the fact that it will be winter, they could be the perfect fit. Keeping your color choices and/or shoe style preferences in mind, here are a few (cheap!) pairs that could work: I own these in black. (And the gray plaid). The blue are cute, too! http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Flats/entity/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2669/200867.uts?colorCode=301246332_830 http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Flats/Canvas-Twisted-Bow-Flat/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2669/207725.uts?colorCode=301326472_424 http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Flats/entity/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2669/207793.uts?colorCode=301327493_424 http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Flats/Velvet-Scalloped-Bow-Flat/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2669/207984.uts?colorCode=301330082_660 The next two reminded me of the shoes that Mike posted that you liked: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens_shoes/shoes/flats/PRD~1079966/Candies+Ballet+Flats.jsp http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Flats/entity/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2669/206223.uts?colorCode=301306814_660
