Message sent from the family: I don’t know if any of your forum friends would be interested, but I am attaching a couple of pictures of Ellen through the years, as well as a picture of her infamous “cat stroller” – Thank you all again for your support and kind words. Cheesin Babies – Ellen is on right Flower Girls – Ellen is on Right Blue Dress – Ellen is on Right Ellen & Glasses – the bigger the sunglasses, the better Ellen liked them 04-21-07 – the infamous cat stroller Barton Boy – one of Ellen’s favorite campers at the Rotary camp she worked at (which led her to pursue a teaching degree) [Note from Amanda: I blurred his face because I don't have his permission to post]

Thanks Amanda for posting these pictures. Thanks to Ellen's family for sharing them with us. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
Her personality shines right through these beautiful family pics.... I do remember Ellen hoping she would get that cat stroller To her family- Thank you for remembering us on the site with these pics....they mean so much. May you find comfort and peace in your memories.
To Ellen's family - Thank you for sharing these pictures of Ellen with us. It is so thoughtful of you to do this at this time. Please know that Ellen was appreciated here as someone who was very knowledgeable in her field and was always willing to share with others.
No words can express the sympathy and sorrow I feel for Ellen's family. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures with Ellen's teacher family here.
OMG!! I cant believe it! I havent been on here in a while, when did she die? My prayers go out to her family!
You can find a link to her obituary and an article about the accident here: http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/forumdisplay.php?f=85
wow, the kids who hit her live really close to my city! It really shocks me that such a young life is over
The cats are being spoiled rotten by Ellen's Grandma Barb and Poppy Luc (who were babysitting them while we were on vacation) - I think they are helping them get through this period.
Thanks for posting Kate. How are you doing? I am sure I speak for all of us here, if you need anything to talk, vent, cry go for it, we will all be here. Maybe not all at once but one of us is always on.
Jaime, you couldn't be more right!! Kate, I'm sure will all be thinking of you & your family tomorrow on one of the most difficult days!!!
The pictures made me cry too. I couldn't read the rest of the posts. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
Kate, I remember her telling us that her Grama took care of her cats when she was away. Glad to hear they are in good hands and I'm sure they do bring a measure of comfort to Grama & family.
Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us. Ellen meant so much to so many people on this site. We will miss her kind words and her smiling face. I echo the words of those above, we are here if you need us at all.
I had no idea; I felt like I was going to cry because I haven't lost many friends, and second, we were the same age. I send my condolences and prayers from the bottom of my heart. I did not know Ellen all that well, but I have viewed her profile before and knew exactly who she was before I viewed this post. May God bless her family in abundance through this very difficult and heart-wrenching time.
This is truely a tragedy. A young life cut short. The world has lost someone who has made and would have continued to make a difference in many lives. We will all miss her smiling face at the top of her posts.
Awwwww Thank you for sharing the pictures! Love the first one! She will truly be missed around here!!
These pictures are wonderful. I know we will all miss Ellen here. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers to you and your family Kate. I didn't know anything had happened until I saw Special Preskoo had changed her avie. I greatly enjoyed Ellen's posts. She always had such intelligent ideas (as do many of the posters on here) that would make me think about a different way to do the "same old skill". I will miss her comments.
((((((((cry))))))))) Those pictures are a treasure. Since I have twin baby girls it just kills in a way that I can't explain - so unfair to lose a daughter, and soooo unfair to lose a twin sister. Beautiful girls, both Kate and Ellen. Peace to your family.
Wow, so you two WERE identical. What beautiful and touching photos. This is such a loss. Thanks for posting these.
