So a principal in Texas called to set up a phone interview at 1:30, I assume his time.

Yep it's been an hour, no call. Has this ever happened to anyone? How long is reasonable to wait?

I can't remember having a phone/Skype/Face Time interview more than 15 minutes late.
I would call or email him.

Hopefully it was a mix up or their in person interviews are running very late.

RELAX. Probably something came up. Principals are very busy at this time of year.

Just gave up, it's been an hour. What am I supposed to do, wait all day?

Did you try calling him? Maybe he just forgot? I would've called him after an hour definitely.

He told me he was doing interviews all day.....I am not sure he called me from his direct line, and he didn't leave his name, just the name of the school.

He did call early, really early, like 7 am his time.

Definitely call the school and find out what happened...could be technical issues or a variety of different things. With that said, I would also be cognizant of how they handle the missed interview and the explanation...you're interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you.

Sorry I sound snarky; I hate to hear about things like this happening. Yes, we're looking for jobs, but common courtesy and decency should still prevail.

I honestly don't want to call, it isn't the first time this district has done something like this.

I was okay once, but twice? No thanks. First time they called for an interview then got snarky with me because I was not in Houston, then withdraw the interview offer, this time they don't call?

    Umm, no

You're making yourself crazy and probably a few people on here too about them.

You already don't have good vibes so don't do it. What's meant will happen. I truly believe that.

Focus on other districts and keep it moving.

It's stressful, and the entire job-hunting process makes one crazy. I don't think you're over-reacting or even over-thinking the process.

Wish you the best, and I promise that most other Texas people are VERY kind and courteous!!

I know they are, I think that the district just is over stressed as well and aren't realizing they are being rude to people. Which I can understand, teacher work days start on the 13th
