Hello all! I am busy at working putting together ideas for my classroom.

I just made a poster because I could not find one that had the same information on it that I wanted.

I know at the school I student taught at they had a poster printer that was free of charge for teachers, but I do not think they have one like that at my school.

Any suggestions on where I can print my poster for a cheap price? I am a first year teacher and am dirt broke :D

I think places like Kinko's and Office Depot do that, but I have no idea about price.

Before spending your own money, call your new school and ask the secretary. She will be a wealth of information. I paid for a lot of things my first year that I wouldn't have needed to.

Vistaprint.com lets you create ANYTHING - it is pretty cheap, too.

Find the colors/images you want on the poster and then delete all of the text and add the text you want. Super easy.

    Kinda addicting, too.

I've made posters (big and small), postcards to send to parents, business cards to hand out as passes ...

If it's black and white, you can request an engineering print at staples for cheap. It's paper, not posterboard, but photos should be fine. You could always glue it onto posterboard.

I don't know what you consider cheap, but I made posters for my room and had them printed as photos at Costco.

Vista print sounds great, so I would try that, but I am also thinking that you could probably get something like that printed at CVS or Walgreens. But definitely call the secretary before you do anything! I have also spent way more out of pocket in the past not realizing some of the resources available right in my building.

If your school does not have a Print Shop your district likely does (where else do all those district tests come from?) and it should be very cheap.

The problem if it's like my district shop, is that it can take over a month to get your order done.

I would print them in black and white, but I want them to be as colorful as I am! On some, I will just use colored paper and print in black. But others need to have color.

I will look into vista print, but I am so impatient, I'd want them NOW. I pay just end up going to Costco :D
