People first language

    Sorry, I couldn't help it, but I noticed that a lot of special ed teachers on this forum say things like "my autistic students", "autistic children" etc. :unsure:

    Please, let's be more professional and just more sensitive. It's "children with autism" (or any other disability). Let's use "people first language".

    Good reminder! I try to be very aware of the language I'm using.
