I'm going to be doing a little bit with the Jack Hartmann song "Peace Soup" next week in preparation for MLK day. I have a few ideas, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever worked with this song?

So far, I think I'm going to lead in with the brown egg / white egg experiment, read "The Peace Book" (Todd Parr) and ask the kids What is Peace?, sing the song with some motions, show a short MLK video and then somehow put up a bulletin board showing what we did - probably with pictures of the students engaging in the activities.

    My biggest two questions are:
What movements or motions could I do with the song?
What should my bulletin board look like?

    Thanks!

This is what comes to my mind:
    a rainbow
    a globe
a globe with different tones of skin colored people
have the children cut out hands and color them with different shades of skin colors
