To say I am excited is an understatement. I am a career switcher who is 45 years old and kept hearing horror stories about this test!! The pass score in Virginia is the highest in the country I believe - 172.
Woo-hoo, Woodbury! Don't forget to celebrate your accomplishment, and do spend a little time thinking about what you've learned that can help you help your future students.
I took it a few days ago.. and a lot of people were complaining about the format of the test. Of course, nothing I studied came up, but I'm not sure you can go about this exam studying literary criticism. It's best to study literary periods and terms, linguistics and grammar. There were a couple of nitpicky grammar questions, but I managed to identify all the mystery passages and finished just in time.
