This sounds more like a multiple subjects exam than a single subjects exam... congratulations in any case, tcherjen!

It was the SAE K-6 exam. Yes, it was difficult. I studied the 5 dollar study guide and used FTCE Elementary Education K-6 by Anita Price Davis, Ed.D. I am so glad that it is over with.:)

    Me too!

Congrats! I, too, found out (last Friday) that I passed the Elementary Ed K-6 test. Hopefully this new certification will make me a little more marketable for a teaching job. With the drastic budget cuts in my county, it's been hard finding a position. I was fortunate enough to teach 6th grade Language Arts this past year, my first year mind you, but my principal was unable to offer me a position for next year. My desire has been to teach English in grades 6-12, in which I hold my current temporary certification. I will give elementary a try since there are several more positions opening for this grade level than for middle/high school English. We'll see what happens!
    ;)
