    20 Teenager Rules
1). The Parent always makes The Rules.
2). The Parent is never wrong.
3). The Rules are subject to change at any time as per the teens attitude.
4). No teen can possibly know all The Rules.
5). If The Parent suspects The Teen knows The Rules, he/she must immediately change some or all of The Rules.
6). If The Parent is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a direct result of something The Teen did or said wrong.
7). The Teen must apologize immediately for causing said misunderstanding.
8). The Parent may change his/her mind at any time.
9). The Teen must never change his mind without the express written consent of The Parent .
10). The Parent has every right to be angry or upset at anytime.
11). The Teen must remain calm at all times - unless The Parent wants him to be angry and/or upset.
12).The Parent must, under no circumstances, let The Teen know whether or not he/she wants him/her to be angry and/or upset.
13). The Teen is expected to mind read at all times.
14). The Teen who doesn’t abide by The Rules can’t take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp.
15). Any attempt to document The Rules could result in bodily harm.
16). The Teen must have at least a well marked path through the teen’s room for the parent to transverse in case of emergency . Lighted walkway is preferred.
17). If The Parent, mom, has PMS, all The Rules become null and void and follow the male parent’s lead, and run!
18). The Parent is ready to go when he/she is ready.
19). The Teen must be ready to go at all times!
20). If The Teen dislikes The Rules he/she may leave at 12:01 AM on his/her Eighteenth birthday.

    Yea right
if we could only use these

How boring would life be if every teen abided by these rules? I dont think i would like my child to grow up will all of these values. Some of them would be nice though. :)

Last night we had parent-student-teacher conferences for the kids who didn't do well on last month's report cards.

I WISH I had had this post then-- several of the parents would have have loved it :)

    Thanks Dave.

I'm going to print this out and nail it to my almost-16-year-old daughter's door! Or maybe I'll place it on her face while she's sleeping, so she sees it as soon as she wakes up!
