I've got a 5th grader on a BIP who is a bully. Someone looks at him wrong & he feels the need to verbally or physically respond. Mom is under the idea that he is the one being bullied & we are doing nothing about it. In the past she's been told her son isn't the innocent party. Any thoughts on dealing with the mom? Something creative perhaps? Mom is the difficult type. These problems have been going on for years & the school deals with it.

A really great system for parents is to communicate regularly with them. There are apps out there to help you communicate behavior with Parents like LiveSchool or Class Dojo. Both promote positive behavior interventions and then help you communicate consistently with the parents.

I think this would be helpful because parents are much more receptive to a negative phone call when they have received some positive feedback as well. These apps help you give both types of feedback.
