help, i've only used electronic grade books! My new school does not have an electronic grade book on the server for us to use. I did find an excel spreadhsheet on the microsoft website that i may make use of. but in the mean time.... are there any websites or sources that will give me a crash course? I think i need "gradebooks for dummies."
Me too!!! I taught kinder and never needed to learn how to use one. That said, I also asked this question. Here is the thread. http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/showthread.php?t=40046&highlight=gradebook
I use teacherease. It is a secure website that allows you to maintain an electronic gradebook, communicate with parents, and keep records on behavior. Go to http://www.teacherease.com the 1st three teacheres from each school are free. Thn its only $80 a year.
along the same lines...I think my district will be using an electronic gradebook...but I still like to keep hardcopy records (i'm paranoid)...is there a program that is FREE , online that can help me do averages or something so I don't have to calculate it out for 120 kids?
OOOOH, thanks for the link. This will be perfect. I still plan to keep paper copy, but I think I will really enjoy using this program. It also gives parents the option to view their students scores. Should I allow them too????
i'm going to use teacherease this year. i was thinking about allowing the parents/students to view it but then decided against it for this year. maybe when i become more efficient on it...i'll reconsider.
