Please a prayer for my dad: on my birthday, a week ago he was in hospital. Doctors iimplanted a pacemaker because his heart beats slow but now he is swollen where is pacemaker. Doctors sucked up brown boold two days ago and told him to take antibiotics for a week. He is assuming anticoagulant drugs from several years...he is 81 years old...
Do you have some experience of pacemaker? Do you have some advice for me?

I´ll pray for him, for you and the family.

My father in law has got a pacemaker and he has no complications at all with it, but you know , each person is different,

If your dad follows doctors advice, I assume, he will be fine.
God is there!!!!!! he helps us everyday!!!!

No advice here. I was too young to remember my great-grandmother's pacemaker trials, but your family will be in my prayers.

I'm also praying for your dad.

I have a pacemaker, too. I've had it since I was 34 (I'm 39 now). Once they get everything worked out, I think you'll see a real improvement to his quality of life.

My mother-in-law has had a pace-maker for about 15 years. She had some early complications, but these were related to other health issues she had. I'll keep your father and the rest of your family in my prayers.

Exactly two years ago I stopped to visit this forum...I'm very sorry I didn't say thank-you for your prayers. I see my dad's life is improved after pacemaker. Doctors wanted to do another operation immediatly after pacemaker, carothides.
We passed a difficult time but now we are quite paceful. Thanks a lot!
