    Hello everyone,

Looking for ideas/activities for P.E. for when the students are completely virtual. Currently, I am teaching 40 minute classes and I am looking for activities that will motivate my students. (Pre-K to 12th)

    Thanks,

    Kevin

For virtual self-assessments, I use Flipgrid. Easy tool to have students record themselves performing a skill, look back on it (watch it), and assess themselves via a rubric on Google Classroom.
Virtual Gymnasiums (PPT with embedded links) are also fun! Student-centered for sure!

Younger kids? Have a dance party! Let them pick the music and tell them that the goal is to keep moving, with breaks as you switch the songs and credit the students who made the selections.

Older kids? Currently, the kiddos at my high school are doing a combination of kinesiology studies and logging physical activity, but that's largely asynchronous and that isn't what you're looking for. You might want to try looking for yoga and mindfulness ideas. Something that will help them release the stress of isolation while also incorporating wellness and fitness.
