I completely understand. Got one myself. KNOWS everything and his way is soooo much better than how we do it at his new school.

I've got one, too. Maybe we all work at the same school, lol.

Ooh I am sure this is difficult. Is there a positive side to the craziness?

For example, my first year there was another teacher in the district who was strange and no one seemed to want to be around him when we had PD trainings together. I ended up sitting by him at lunch. Yes, he was strange, and he couldn't stop talking. However, this guy had incredibly creative and excellent ideas for the classroom. He inspired me to be much more creative and helped me get through the toughest teaching year of my life. Is there a positive side to this crazy teacher?

I actually usually like the strange people. I try to go out of my way to make "outsiders" feel welcome. I haven't found a positive side to this craziness yet, though, except this person does seem to care about their job and students. It's better to have someone who feels positively about their job than someone who complains about it, I suppose.

Really, it shouldn't matter to me as long as I can distance myself. Then, live and let live, right? Only this person is quite persistent about wanting to collaborate. Maybe things will cool down as the year gets going.
