I just received an overhead projector from my school. :) I've heard of teachers using the overhead projector for one of the literacy/math center activities. Does anyone have any ideas?

when i taught K i used the overhead for literacy centers. i put out overhead letter tiles and they were to make sight words and or use words on cut up transpariencies to make sentences.
Or, you could have a transpariency on the overhead and shine it on the white board and they could use white board markers for matching, spelling, etc.
    hope this helps
I am hoping to get back to K soon!!

If you are willing to spend some money, Lakeshore Learning Store has some great overhead activity kits for Language Arts and Math!

We've used it for encouraging kids to write. It's fun to write something small on a transparency and then see it become huge on the wall! (A trick: Save leftover laminate and write on it with permanent markers.)
