Hey, Just wondering what fellow teachers are wearing the first day of school?
I am not sure yet, I don't go back until the 3rd. I have a few choices in mind. I am definitley going to keep it comfy and cool. My room is HOT! I am thinking a cute skirt, sleeveless top (tank with thick straps) and flats.
A brown sleeveless linen dress from Banana Republic and heels. Probably a cardigan over it for the chilly morning that I know we will have, but my room gets HOT so it will probably be off by lunchtime.
My school year starts on Sept. 2nd. I will most likely wear a short sleeve pants suit and heels. I got some good deals on a couple of designer suit from Ross and TJMax during our tax free weekend. If you have one of those stores in your area. Check them out. I like getting quality clothing at good prices. My room is so hot this week, I had to fill out a work order. It will mostly freeze me on the first day.
All of our staff had to wear colorful t-shirts with our theme of the year printed on them: Challenge yourself! One of my kindergartners asked why all the teachers had shirts with words on them. It led to a discussion about what it means & then they started looking around to see if anyone else in the room had words on their shirts. Then they realized that everyone had a name tag on so we all had words on our shirts!
I wore a nice, black, button-up shirt and pink capris.
I was very dressed up for Back to School night but not as dressy for the first day,
I will wear a short-sleeve, button, black dress, from Ann Taylor Loft-simple but pretty cute....although i could change my mind the morning of with all my back to school anxiety!
I have no idea!! Tomorrow for open house I will wear capri's during the day and switch into a skirt and a sleeveless top. Probably something similar next week.

I wore a black cotton dress from H&M-it was a wrap style on the top, and had an empire waist. I wore a black scarf and a really long beaded necklace that I wrapped around my neck twice. I paired it with wedge shoes, and kind of antique-y earrings. It had a kind of 20's feel. To me, anyhow. It was comfortable and I got compliments. I had to safety pin the top, though, because the wrap was a bit big for my chest, and I didn't think my push-up bra would be appropriate....
Cute dress, Jem!
I'll be wearing capris (either white or black) and our new school polo shirt (celery green). We just got them this week and were asked to wear them the first day.
I wore a sleeveless dress with a sweater, along with flat sandals. I want to dress a lot better this year. I've worn dresses or skirts 3 out of the first 4 days so far. I love dresses!
I wore a cotton skirt and nice top. The outfit included very comfy shoes!!
This week, it decided to get very hot, like in the 90s, so whatever I wear this week is casually cool & always stylish. Cool tops/blouses & skirts or summer pants.
