What grade/course/setting do you teach? I am wondering about the different grade-levels, courses, and settings that teachers on here work in. Here I'll Start: Special Class Setting: Grades 2-4, SDC, Mid-Elementary Academic Delay Classroom
I'm so glad to see this question finally surface! It can be especially relevant to anyone that wants to know something about the professional background of those who respond to their posts. Many of these posts are from desperate individuals seeking advice for serious career decisions, workplace problems and specific grade level issues. Knowing a respondent's background would lend credence to the advice that may be offered. The pasta positions are making me hungry! Sono Affamato! Thank you Teacher234 for posting your curious question. It's nice to have a professional "face" to associate with each member. I hope everyone will respond - and don't forget to include pasta positions!
Lasagne is my current pasta Still working on the spinach lasagne. The pre-cooked/oven ready noodles and frozen spinach isn’t working for me. Organic wheat-flat speghetti is 2nd.
I think retired teachers are a treasure chest of information. Posted my entire resume! Or is it a curriculum vitae? Left out suburban school districts, and home respite care aide-Sp. Ed aide. Edited to add: Thin whole wheat spaghetti and linguine.
Mostaccoli and small shells..... Side note - Pasta is great for school! Art work, musical instruments, math, empty boxes for House Keeping Area, etc. I toss it in my sand table!! Raw of course!
Wow, the teachers on this website have excellent humor and really are good at making a typo hilarious (and not embarrassing).
Something weird happened where my reply appeared to be your reply. So, @SpecialPreskoo, here is my reply. I agree!!!!!!
Science, mostly chemistry but also some Biology and Physics. Currently 5 weeks into a 9 week subbing contract. I have One year 7 class, one yr8, one yr 9, two yr 10 and two yr 11 classes. (In the UK our yr numbers are 1 bigger than the US so yr7 = 6th grade). Currently have a free period so taking a sneaky peek at NHL on the fly!
I am currently a literacy coach for my district. As far as pasta, I prefer spaghetti squash as a substitute (being a vegetarian who tries to also avoid gluten & sugar).
A thread about our favorite pastas and current/previous teaching positions and/or teaching experience.
Interesting. Over my 25 years of teaching, I have taught in several different settings/grades/courses.
It just happened that all of the reading teachers were certified K-8, so they could teach health. We didn't have a health-certified teacher at the time. Kids had health for one grading period and reading for three grading periods. Basically is was teaching reading with health-related topics. I'm secondary English certified, but they let me teach health because they had 30 kids too many to fit into the other classes. I taught those kids in both 7th and 8th grade. Those kids are in their mid 30's now, and two of them work with me.
1. Wow, it is awesome to hear your former students work for you. 2. Scheduling difficulty. Ok, that makes sense. Thank you for replying and explaining the situation to me.
