I am credentialed as Mild to Moderate. In other words, I teacher learning handicapped students. I am always getting students classified as "other health impaired". I have students with APERTS, Cystic Fibrosis, CP, etc... If they have a health impairment that interferes with their ability to learn in the regular classroom, they come to me. :)

This could fall under mild/moderate or moderate/severe. I teach 0-3 and preemies fall under this. As do ADD & ADHD, hypoxia (no oxygen to brain for whatever reason), and spina bifida and even sickle cell, IF they impair learning. So the range can be quite broad. Also, "we don't know why Johnny is like this but for some reason he has trouble learning" category. ;)
